Nathan Prex Named MAC Commonwealth Men’s Soccer Rookie Of The Year; Aaron Weitzel and Peter
Foerster Earn All-Conference Honors

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference office announced Lebanon Valley first-year Nathan Prex as the MAC Commonwealth Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year on Friday with the release of the All-Conference Team. Aaron Weitzel and Peter Foerster were second team selections.

Prex was voted as the Rookie of the Year after leading the Dutchmen with 17 points on five goals and seven assists. He was fourth in the conference in assists and eighth in points. Prex recorded a season-high six points on two goals and two assists in an 8-0 victory over Penn State Berks and scored his first career game-winner in a 2-1 victory at Dickinson. In conference play, Prex scored two goals and had four assists.

Weitzel earns his second consecutive spot on the All-Conference squad as a Second Team forward after scoring a team-high seven goals with one assist. The sophomore scored in three conference games and his 15 points ranked 12th in the conference. Weitzel scored the game-winning goal in the 8-0 victory over Penn State Berks and recorded an assist in the 2-1 win at Dickinson.

Foerster was selected as A Second Team midfielder after recording 11 points on three goals and five assists. The graduate student had a season-high four points on one goal and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Eastern Mennonite. Foerster scored the game-winning goal in a 5-1 victory over Eastern Mennonite and scored on a penalty kick in the Dutchmen's 1-0 victory over Penn State Abington.

The Dutchmen have won the Rookie of the Year award the past two seasons with Weitzel being honored last year. LVC has placed at least two student-athletes on the all-conference team every season since 2008.
